This policy explains what personal data Akkredly processes when you use the akkredly.ru website and study app, why we process it, and what choices you have.

Who is responsible

Akkredly is an independent educational service for preparing for the Russian medical accreditation exam. It is not a government service.

Data we collect

We collect only what is needed to run your account and save your study progress:

Account details: your phone number and email address. Your email address is kept as contact information only; it is not verified and is not used to sign in or to recover an account.
Telegram details: when you share your contact with our Telegram bot, we receive your phone number and your Telegram user and chat identifiers, so we can confirm the number is yours and send sign-in codes.
Study data: the answers you submit, progress, points, mistakes, review schedule, study days, exam results and the profile settings you choose (field, specialty, exam date and questions per session).
Content you write: private notes on questions and the text of problem reports you send about a question.
Technical data: a sign-in session identifier and request counters used to limit abuse. The counters are keyed by your account or by a one-way digest of your network address or phone number, not by the address in readable form.

We do not collect or store card details. Payments are made on the secure page of the payment provider; we receive only the payment identifier, status and amount needed to open your access.

How we use data

to create your account, confirm your phone number and sign you in;
to save your progress on our server so that it is available on your devices;
to apply study limits and protect the service from automated abuse;
to review problem reports and correct questions or translations;
to keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

Akkredly uses one essential cookie, akkredly_session, which keeps you signed in. It cannot be read by page scripts, is sent only to our API and expires after 30 days or when you sign out. Our server stores only a one-way digest of it.

Your browser also stores your interface language, theme, study settings and the identifier of an unfinished exam so that it can be resumed. Question text and answers are not stored in the browser. The app keeps a copy of its own interface files for faster loading.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Services we rely on

Telegram: sign-in codes are delivered through our Telegram bot. Telegram processes these messages under its own privacy policy.
Google Fonts: our pages load font files from Google servers, which receive your network address and browser details when the files are requested.
Hosting: our server and database run on infrastructure provided by a hosting company.

Security

Connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Sign-in codes and session identifiers are stored only as one-way digests, codes expire after a few minutes and the number of attempts is limited. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

How long we keep data

We keep account and study data while your account exists. Registrations that are not completed expire and are deleted automatically. Sign-in sessions end after 30 days or when you sign out.

If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it together with the study data linked to it, except for records we are required by law to keep.

Your choices and rights

You can change your profile settings, delete your notes and reset your study progress in the app at any time.
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.
You may have further rights under the law that applies to you.

Who the service is for

Akkredly is intended for medical students and graduates. It is not directed at children.
